On Sunday 15th August morning worship was led by our locum minister, Rev Norman Nicoll. We attempted for the first time to provide a live recording of the service through Facebook and the video has now been uploaded to the church’s Youtube channel at

The service on Sunday July 4th will be led by George Webster, one of our elders. Johnston Ralston will play piano. Please book your seat by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephoning the office on Friday morning between 10am and 12 noon.
Please note that our Church Administrator does not work during school holidays and so the office will be closed most of the time. If necessary, contact the Session Clerk on 01241 874133.
On June 13th Rev Dolly Purnell led worship for the last time at Arbroath: Old and Abbey Church. Dolly had been with us for seven years and had done so much to move the church forward, especially in the area of children’s ministry. She introduced Messy Church which grew in popularity largely due to her energy and enthusiasm and she proved to be a very popular chaplain at both Ladyloan Primary School and Hayshead Primary School. We will miss Dolly enormously but we wish her happiness and success as she begins her new ministry at Wardie Church in Edinburgh.
At last week’s Angus Presbytery meeting Rev Michael Goss was appointed as our Interim Moderator and the Kirk Session will work with Rev Goss to ensure that our church Sunday services will continue in the church hall at 11am and, as social distancing measures are gradually reduced, we will have room for more than the current limit of 40 persons. It will still be necessary to book your place and this can be done by emailing the church office at email@example.com or by telephoning the office (01241 877068) on a Friday morning between 10am and 12 noon. Please come and join us – you will be very welcome.
This week we bring you a recording of our actual morning worship service. It can be found at
