Temporary Church Administrator
Job Title: Temporary Church Administrator at Arbroath Old & Abbey Church
We are looking for a person who –
- can demonstrate a successful track record within a similar clerical role, is organised and can meet deadlines;
- is educated to a minimum of Standard Grade level or equivalent
- has a sound knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel and the use of email;
- has good interpersonal skills and will work well with the Session Clerk, Property Convener and other members of the Kirk Session;
- is capable of dealing with questions from the public in a positive, friendly manner;
- is capable of working unsupervised and using their own initiative;
- can maintain an accurate calendar of hall lets and manage these lets;
- can issue invoices, process payments and liaise with the Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer;
- keep accurate records of petty cash;
- record offerings for Gift Aid purposes and recognise the need for confidentiality;
- will order supplies of office stationery and cleaning materials as required;
- will maintain the office photocopier and arrange servicing as required
This job will require the person to work 2½ hours per day on each of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday – a total of 10 hours per week. The person will NOT work during the recognised Angus school holidays although this does NOT include in-service days. There is no additional statutory holiday entitlement and no holiday pay is paid.
