Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit, Christian organization that seeks to 
eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world and make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action worldwide.
Through volunteer labour and donations of money and materials, Habitat builds and rehabilitates simple, decent houses.
In 2005 a team from the Old & Abbey travelled to Uganda to build a house. A second team followed in 2007, travelling to Zambia. More recently, in 2009, a team travelled to South Africa. The images below were taken during the South African trip.
