What a week we’ve had! It has been wonderful to get to know Albert, Charles and Nelson and to find out about their work with the Elom EP Church in Ghana. We will look forward to developing our special relationship over the coming years and to visiting them in Ghana very soon.
The group thoroughly enjoyed their visits to Ladyloan PS and Arbroath High School and to the Abbey, Signal Tower Museum and the farm and smokehouse. A big thank you to our local friends who made all of this possible.
On Sunday 29th September their visit concluded with worship followed by a congregational lunch which was enjoyed by all. Many, many thanks to all members who contributed to the success of the lunch whether by providing food, setting up or clearing up or just being there – we are so grateful for all your support – you are wonderful!
Special thanks, however, are due to the three hosts, Dr Andrew Dawson, Mrs Olwen McNeill and Mrs Helen Muir for welcoming the Ghanaian guests into their homes and to our Twinning Coordinator, Ian Townsend, who made all of this possible by working tirelessly over the last year to identify a possible partner church and then dealing with all the issues relating to the visit including the week’s itinerary and then acting as the group’s chauffeur.
We hope you enjoy the images below.
