Eco-Congregation Network Meeting in the Old & Abbey

On Tuesday 25th October, 7.30 – 9pm at Arbroath: Old & Abbey Church a new Eco-Congregation Network will be launched for churches in the Angus area.

Arbroath Old & Abbey Church is located on the corner of West Abbey Street and Abbey Park and is adjacent to the Abbey itself.  The address is West Abbey Street, Arbroath, DD11 1EQ

This meeting is for you if you:

  • know nothing about Eco-Congregation but would like to do more to care for creation
  • are just beginning to think about becoming an eco-congregation
  • are already registered with us but would like to meet and learn from other local eco-congregations

The aim of our ecumenical networks is to support each other by exchanging ideas and information about how to get started and then develop the spiritual, practical and community aspects of creation care.

The evening will include:

  • a  session on what you have to do to become an eco-congregation (it is easy and helps give ideas of what to do next!)
  • a chance to hear from each other and gain inspiration from the projects that are on-going in local congregations and parishes
  • a look at how the new network will be organised in the future

If you, or someone in your church (please feel free to pass this invitation on to anyone you think might be interested), would like to join us on 25th, please reply to margaret@ecocongregation.org.uk so that we can get an idea of numbers.

Margaret Warnock, Co-ordinator Eco-Congregation Scotland
